Ireland: Day 1&2 {Dublin}

Wow, where to start! My sister and I decided 2 and 1/2 years ago that we wanted to travel someplace. So we began saving, just $50 a paycheck. And you know, that really starts to add up and then you get to go on an amazing trip! Just think, 2 years comes and goes pretty darn quick, and where would you like to be heading off to two years from today? What are you waiting for? Start saving and go explore the world! 🙂

We flew over on Aer Lingus, left on October 3rd from Sacramento >> Chicago >> Dublin arriving the morning of October 4th. My soon-to-be-flight-attendant of a sister had fun observing the Aer Lingus flight attendants.

Once we landed I was surprisingly not too tired, even though we had been up for about 24 hours at that point. It did make finding the bus we needed a little more challenging because we were a little on edge and cranky… but thankfully we finally made it – heavy suitcases and all, to our Bed and Breakfast – the Tinode House just outside of Dublin.

Dublin was an awesome city – so much history and pretty sights! We rode the Hop-on Hop-off bus to see as much as we could in short amount time we had there. We had a later start than I had planned on, but we didn’t sweat it and enjoyed what we did get to see!

We did the tour at Kilmainham Gaol and it was pretty incredible. There was an old part of the jail…

And a “new” part.

I put Jessica in a cell.

River Liffey flowing through Dublin’s fair city!

We had hoped to go to a Pub but after being awake for 30-something hours we decided to call it a night early, otherwise we would have probably fallen asleep in our Guinness.
