Mexican Food & a Solar Eclipse

Happy Tuesday everyone! Wanted to share a quick personal post.
First an update on my 101 in 1001! I started my list earlier this month and so far, I have a few things to cross off!

46. Encourage 3 other people to make 101 in 1001 lists
I am so excited that I can cross this one off because I loved getting to read these lists of goals that my friends have!
1. Katie
2. Kirsty
3. Jessica

19. Try 5 new restaurants in my area (1/5)
Mexican food is one of my all time favorite foods! Thankfully in my area there are quite a few options to choose from when you want a burrito! This past Sunday we ate dinner at Tres Hermanas in Downtown Davis and it really hit the spot! The weather that evening was pretty much perfect, so we knew we wanted to eat some where that had an outdoor patio. Tres Hermanas fit the bill perfectly!

That same evening was the solar eclipse. We may have totally missed it if it hadn’t been for my neighbor giving us some handy dandy eclipse viewing glasses. (Note – they do not double as 3-D glasses *coughJessicacough*… haha) In between our chips and salsa we would run over and gawk at the eclipse – good thing we ate outside otherwise we would have looked even more crazy going in and out of the restaurant doors!

We even had a bunch of passerby-ers to stop and take a look! Everyone was very impressed!

One of my favorite things was how the shadows cast little crescents on the ground!

I wanted to take a picture of the eclipse but not having the right equipment, I was way too worried about shooting my iPhone camera directly at it. Perhaps the next eclipse there will be an app for that! 😉
